Last updated: May 16, 2026
Acceptance
By using Quick Search File, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app, CLI, connected storage features, or website.
Purpose of the app
Quick Search File is a file search utility. It helps you build a local index for folders or storage locations you authorize, then search by filename, extension, folder path, and related metadata.
Your responsibility for files and accounts
You are responsible for the files, folders, accounts, credentials, and storage providers you connect or authorize. Only connect Google Drive accounts, local folders, cloud folders, or file-provider locations that you have the right to access.
Google Drive read-only features
If you connect Google Drive, Quick Search File uses Google OAuth and the drive.readonly permission scope to provide read-only search functionality. The app may view file and folder metadata needed to index and display search results, but it is not designed to create, edit, move, delete, or share your Google Drive files.
Google Drive availability, authentication, rate limits, account permissions, and API behavior are controlled by Google and may affect app behavior. You can revoke access through your Google Account permissions.
Subscriptions and paid features
Some features may require an active subscription, including continued iOS search access after free searches, automatic index updates, and optional macOS Command Line Interface (CLI) features. Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store and may be subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.
Command Line Interface (CLI)
The macOS Command Line Interface (CLI) is intended for update, search, status, paths-only output, JSON metadata output, automation, shell pipelines, and AI-assisted workflows after it is enabled in the macOS app. You are responsible for commands you run and any scripts, tools, or AI systems that consume CLI output.
No guarantee of universal access or performance
Search results and performance depend on device hardware, operating system behavior, storage provider availability, cloud sync state, folder permissions, index freshness, file count, and system load. Performance measurements on this website are engineering evidence from known test conditions, not a guarantee for every device or provider.
Acceptable use
Do not use Quick Search File to access files or accounts without authorization, bypass platform permissions, violate laws, interfere with service operation, abuse Google Drive or other provider APIs, or process data in ways that violate applicable provider terms.
Third-party services
Quick Search File may interact with Apple services, Google Drive, iCloud Drive, GitHub Pages hosting, and other storage providers or platform features. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.
Changes to features or terms
Features, subscriptions, platform support, Google Drive access, CLI behavior, and these terms may change over time. Updated terms will be posted on this page.
Disclaimer
