Privacy Notice

Summary

We collect as little data as possible. Your Gemini conversations are never sent to our servers — the Extension reads them in your browser and writes Markdown files directly into your own local Obsidian folder.

Purchases and licensing

Purchases and license delivery are handled through Gumroad. Extension version 1.0.2 uses Gumroad for license activation and periodic verification.

What we process

Local data: your selected folder handle is stored in your browser's IndexedDB. Export preferences and cached license information are stored in browser extension storage. Your conversations are read from the Gemini page and saved locally; they are not uploaded to Gumroad or our servers.

License checks: the extension sends your license key and the product identifier to Gumroad's license verification API during activation, manual refresh and periodic verification. The key, license status and successful verification time are cached locally. A previously verified license can remain usable offline for up to seven days.

Purchases: Gumroad processes checkout and provides purchase information such as your email address, product, order status and license key for delivery, support and refunds. Gumroad and its payment providers process payment details; we do not receive or store your full card details.

Support: if you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. Please avoid including private conversation content unless it is needed for your support request.

Request metadata

Website hosting, licensing, and payment providers may process request metadata such as IP addresses and timestamps for service operation, security, and fraud prevention. This product website does not include analytics scripts or an embedded checkout.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use and transfer of user data by Gemini to Obsidian comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the disclosed export and licensing features. We do not use or transfer it for personalized advertising, unrelated profiling, creditworthiness, or lending decisions. We do not allow people to read exported conversation content; if you voluntarily provide specific content for support, we use it only to address that request.

No data selling

We do not sell your personal data.

Third parties

Gumroad (checkout, purchase delivery and license verification), its payment providers (including Stripe and PayPal where applicable), and GitHub Pages (website hosting). Their respective privacy policies apply to data they process.

Your choices

You can remove the saved folder setting and license from the extension settings. Removing a license removes it from that browser installation; it does not cancel your purchase or request a refund. Clearing extension data or uninstalling removes its locally stored settings and license cache. It does not delete Markdown files already exported to your selected folder; you can delete those files yourself. The extension does not upload those files, but a sync service you configure for that folder may sync them independently. Contact us about purchase or support data you want to access or delete; some transaction records may need to be retained for legal or accounting purposes.
